The living environment is currently the top concern of mankind when the reality shows that the material life is increasing at the same time as the living environment of people is getting worse. Under the pressure of economic development as well as fierce competition on price and product quality, most industrial countries have treated badly with the resources that nature has bestowed on man.
Nowadays, people are aware of the organic relationship between economic development and environmental protection. The new perspective on environmental protection contains two very important contents:
- Forcing companies, countries to pay compensation for the consequences - the destruction of the environment that they have caused to other countries. This compensation is often very large and is included in the cost of production, causing prices to rise, losing their competitive advantage. This is a sanction against the company, the country that considers the environment as a godsend should "exploit its hands".
In the past, when approving an investment project, people paid attention to the technical and economic arguments, factors related to financial capability, technological solutions, but now it is important to decide on the issuance of a license. Investment license or not is a factor to protect the environment.
